Criss-Cross Piggies

Just looking at her little fro it doesn't look like Khari's hair is very long or growing much besides getting thicker. But when I pull it straight it is alot longer than most girls her age. This morning I threw together a quick style for her (I've been sick and I feel like I abandoned her poor little hair). I parted her hair down the middle to just do pigtails, but then I decided to switch it up. I did two little piggies in the very front of her head then four behind those. I then split the front to piggies in half and took one half over to the edge piggies in the back. Then I took the other half and criss-crossed it over to the middle piggy on the opposite side. Left piggy when to right middle piggy and vice-versa.

This picture is pretty dark and I'm at work so I can't edit the lighting or anything.

Try to ignore the cereal and brushing of the teeth. It's the only way I can get her to sit still long enough to do anything. Haha

Quick Chain Pigtails

Once again we have a quick style I did before rushing out of the door. I did this the other day before we went to the zoo. It was getting late and we wanted to have at least 2 hours there. The top two parts were pretty even but after that things went south and the parts are pretty jagged. I was going to just do the two linked/chain pigtails up front, but then I decided to see if her back was long enought to attach as well. They BARELY made it. I think this would be a really cute hair style if her pigtails were longer and thicker. I think I'll try it again in a year.

Three Little Piggys

This was done during our family reunion on a Utah holiday July 24th. We pretty much get to have 2 Fourth of July's in one month! The first picture was for the first half of the day and the parade. I just did three piggys on top and added a bow.
The second picture was at a baseball game where we wore our family reunion shirts. She had just taken a nap and her front piggy was looking a little rough so I just clipped it back to the left piggy with a hairbow.

Accidental Sun/Starburst Ponytails

This is a style I randomly decided to do 10 mins before I had to leave for work a few weeks ago. I parted to squares in the back (not shown) then I just did a bunch of triangle on her head. I wasn't aiming for a sunburst type pattern, but that's what I ended up with.
I parted to sqaures on the back of her head (not shown), then I just did a bunch of triangle on her head. I parted the right side to the middle of her head and behind her ear then I did the same on the left. That left a triangle in the middle so I banded that one up. I then did the same in the front. The top middle ponytail was going to be split in two, but I didn't have time and I now I might like it this way better anyways. I lasted pretty well during the day considering my daughter is a wild sleeper and takes 2 naps a day and also likes to throw fits on the floor whenever she doesn't get her way. :-P I didn't take any before bed shots, but I will make sure to do that from now on.
